Background

The Delta Veterinary Services (DVS) is a registered importer and distributor of veterinary

pharmaceuticals and animal healthcare products in Tanzania. Initially DVS worked as a distributor for the largest Tanzania owned manufacturer but the company has since expanded, and is now engaged in both importation and distribution of veterinary pharmaceuticals and animal healthcare products.

The company is recognized as one of the leading (and few) veterinary importers in the country, and have secured the sole distribution rights for “Biovac”, an Israeli manufacturer of animal vaccines and pharmaceuticals.

 

Currently, the DVS has headquarters in Kinondoni District in the Dar es Salaam Region of Tanzania where they have a cold-room storage facility and distribute products to key agro veterinary retailers and distributors in priority markets. Distribution of products and collection of payments is run by staff who travel to up-country markets to solicit for orders, collect payments for delivered products, and provide the necessary support services required by clients. Major customers are well-established veterinary input distributors located predominantly in Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Mbeya, and Arusha but they have developed an extensive distribution network for their products throughout the country.
